SEC Select Benefits

Dental

SEC Select Dental options are:

  • Core Plan (entirely paid by your employer)
  • Buy-Up Plan (partially paid by your employer)

The SEC pays the full premium cost of the Core Dental coverage for you and your eligible family members (you only pay a portion of the charge when care is received). If you would like a more comprehensive level of dental coverage, you can select the Buy-Up plan.

Vision

SEC Select Vision options are:

  • Core Plan (entirely paid by your employer)
  • Buy-Up Plan (partially paid by your employer)

The SEC pays the full premium cost of the Core Vision coverage for you and your eligible family members (you only pay a portion of the charge when care is received). If you would like a more comprehensive level of vision coverage, you can select the Buy-Up plan.

Disability

Financial experts have long recommended Disability insurance as part of a sound financial plan should you be unable to work due to illness or injury.

SEC Select Disability options are:

  • A short term disability insurance plan
  • Two long term disability insurance plans: Option 1 and Option 2

Optional Life with AD&D

Thirty percent of U.S. households have no life insurance at all. It is important to take steps to make sure your family would be financially prepared if you were no longer there to handle expenses like mortgage or rent payments, utilities, food, insurance premiums and more.

SEC Select Optional Life with AD&D options are:

  • Employee (Self)
  • Spouse/Domestic Partner
  • Dependent Child

Accident

Accident insurance coverage provides you with payment for a covered accident. It also pays if you undergo testing, receive medical services, treatment or care for any one or more of the covered events as defined in your group certificate. This includes hospitalization resulting from an accident and accidental death or dismemberment.

Critical Illness

Critical Illness coverage helps with payments made directly to you, not your doctor or hospital, to cover extra expenses associated with serious illness. Your Critical Illness payment may be made in addition to any other insurance, including medical, and may be spent as you see fit.

Hospital Indemnity

These plans provide you with payments when you are admitted and when you are confined to a hospital, in addition to any other insurance payments you may receive (as long as the policy and certificate requirements are met). Payments are made directly to you to use as you see fit.

They can be used to help pay for medical plan deductibles and copays, for out-of-network stays, for your family's everyday living expenses, or for whatever else you need while recuperating from an illness or accident. Typically, a flat amount is paid for admission and a daily amount is paid for each day of a hospital stay up to 31 days.

Auto and Home

Farmers GroupSelect℠'s group insurance program is available to you as a voluntary benefit offered by the SEC. As part of the program, you have access to unique savings on auto and home insurance, as well as a variety of other insurance policies including: coverage for boats, motorcycles, precious belongings, and more.
